
First Annual North Shore Spring Festival Gala
This event gathered those from all over Greater Vancouver to come together and form a communal bond through culture.
On February 2nd 2019, IMYA's first North Shore Spring Festival Gala took place. As many members of the local community celebrated the lunar new year, this event gathered those from all over Greater Vancouver to come together and form a communal bond through culture. The gala consists of a large variety of performances that originate from different cultures around the world. An audience of 400 people were present, and Continuing to support the local community, a total of $7180 was fundraised from this event, and donated to the West Vancouver Youth Band, which is the longest standing youth band in Canada with over 90 years of history. The gala continued to gain public attention as recordings of it were released on youtube and gained thousands of views.
